A discussion between Muslim civil society leaders and government representatives was held on 30th to address the longstanding issues faced by the Muslim community and to explore the steps the new government intends to take to resolve them.

Representing the National Shoora Council it’s vice President T.K.Azoor and the Executive committe member Br .M.H.M Hasan participated in this meeting.

The discussion, attended by Cabinet Minister Vijitha Herath, Deputy Speaker Rizvi Sally, and Member of Parliament Mr. Aslam, included approximately 30 Muslim civil society activists.

Minister Vijitha Herath emphasized that the new government’s policy is centered on national unity and that it will not allow any group to incite ethnic divisions or promote racism. He further stated that the government is committed to enforcing the law impartially, without considering ethnicity, religion, or social status, especially concerning matters related to national security.

The Minister also highlighted the government’s sensitivity to the issues faced by the Muslim community and affirmed that it is the government’s policy to listen to the concerns and demands of any community when making decisions.

Muslim leaders also raised concerns about the continued incarceration of 100s of Muslims without due process and the closure of Masajid for no reason.

They pointed out that these matters prevented the Muslim citizens from leading normal lives.

அரச தரப்பு பிரதிநிதிகளை சந்தித்த சூரா சபைப் பிரதிநிதிகள்

முஸ்லிம் சிவில் அமைப்புகளின் தலைவர்களுக்கும் அரசாங்கப் பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கும் இடையில் கலந்துரையாடலொன்று இன்று (30) இடம்பெற்றது.

இதில் தேசிய சூரா சபையின் சார்பில் அதன் உப தலைவர்களில் ஒருவரான சட்டத்தரணி ரீ.கே.அஸூர் மற்றும் நிறைவேற்று குழு உறுப்பினர் .எம். எச்.எம்.ஹஸன் ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

முஸ்லிம் சமூகம் நீண்டகாலமாக எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகளை புதிய அரசாங்கத்தின் கீழ் தீர்ப்பதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடுவதே இதன் நோக்கமாக அமைந்தது.

இந்த கலந்துரையாடலில் அமைச்சர் விஜித ஹேரத், பிரதி சபாநாயகர் ரிஸ்வி சாலி மற்றும் பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் அஸ்லாம் ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொண்டதுடன், சுமார் 30 இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட முஸ்லிம் சிவில் சமூக செயற்பாட்டாளர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர்.

புதிய அரசாங்கத்தின் கொள்கை தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு எனவும், இனங்களுக்கிடையில் பேதங்களை ஏற்படுத்தவோ அல்லது எந்தவொரு தரப்பினரையும் இனவாத நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபடவோ அரசாங்கம் இடமளிக்காது எனவும் அமைச்சர் விஜித ஹேரத் வலியுறுத்தினார்.

தேசிய பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பான விடயங்களில் இனம், மதம் அல்லது வேறுபாடுகளைப் பாராது சட்டத்தை கடுமையாக அமுல்படுத்த அரசாங்கம் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் இருப்பதாகவும் அவர் சுட்டிக்காட்டினார்.

முஸ்லிம் சமூகம் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்து அரசாங்கம் உணர்வுபூர்வமாக இருப்பதாகவும் சுட்டிக்காட்டிய அமைச்சர், எந்தவொரு சமூகம் தொடர்பிலும் தீர்மானங்களை எடுக்கும்போது சம்பந்தப்பட்ட சமூகத்தின் கோரிக்கைகள் மற்றும் குரலுக்கு செவிசாய்ப்பது அரசாங்கத்தின் கொள்கை எனவும் தெரிவித்தார்.

பலஸ்தீன மக்கள் தொடர்பில் எதிர்க்கட்சியில் இருந்தபோது தாங்கள் மேற்கொண்ட செயற்பாடுகளில் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்ததன் பின்னர் எவ்வித மாற்றமும் ஏற்படவில்லை எனவும், அரச அதிகாரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதன் பின்னர் இராஜதந்திர ரீதியில் பலஸ்தீன மக்களின் உரிமைகளுக்காக தலையீடு செய்து வருவதாகவும் அமைச்சர் முஸ்லிம் சிவில் அமைப்புக்களின் பிரதிநிதிகள் முன்னிலையில் தெரிவித்தார்.

முஸ்லிம் சிவில் அமைப்புகளின் தலைவர்களுடன் இவ்வாறான கலந்துரையாடல்களை எதிர்காலத்திலும் நடத்த இணக்கம் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
