National Shoora Council (NSC) conducted a special consultation session on 8th Sep 2019 to develop proposals.
The consultation session held as a follow up of its previous dialogue to develop white papers focused on contemporary issues. It is with the 21/4 incident,NSC felt the dire need for a better direction for the Muslim community. As such NSC as an umbrella organization has the responsibility to consult stakeholders and to guide the community in the right direction.
The proposal development session was organized with a wider representation of Muslim organizations including ACJU,MCSL and around 25 other organizations and groups and think tanks. Out of 14 white papers 10 were taken for in-depth analysis and to develop short to medium term proposals.
These proposals not only address the issues pertaining to false and baseless allegations but they also looked at better integration with National priorities and obligations towards nation building.
More than 125 participants ranging from religious leaders, academics, scholars, social activists, business community, community leaders and subject matter specialist were among others in the discussion which started by 9.15 am and concluded by 1.30 pm followed by lunch.
NSCs Executive Committee members hosted the discussion supported by a special committee on the development of proposals. The special committee will take up the proposals to fine tune them and to put them into action through selected organizations.
